One of the popular beauty applications for today’s women is dying your eyebrows. You could choose to dye your brows because they are turning grey or you could just want them to match your hair that has been recently colored. Whatever your reason, you need to be careful and follow specific steps to ensure that it is done right. If you do not do it right, you could risk having contact dermatitis or eye irritation. The following are quick steps for how to dye your eyebrows with brow tinting products.

1. To make sure that you will not have any skin rashes or dermatitis, you can apply a small amount of dye to an area of the back of your neck or inner upper arm. Wait for two days and if you do not see a rash, then you more than likely should be ok and will not suffer from any allergic reactions.

2. When trying to avoid irritation, you can purchase a bottle of bland ophthalmic ointment like Refresh P.M. and apply a thin coating to both your lower eyelids and your upper lids getting as close to your lids as you can and extending out about two inches. If you also have a bottle or two of a sterile eye irrigating solution on hand you can easily irrigate your eye if dye gets into it. You should be able to ease any burning with the use of the whole bottle.

3.For application of your brow tinting product, you may choose to use a q-tip or a toothbrush. If you have thin brows that have been trimmed or plucked, you may want to stick with the q-tip; for thicker, bushier brows, you may find a toothbrush will do a better job. Dip your q-tip into a small amount of the dye solution, enough to cover the top but not enough to drip. Let the solution stand for about 15 minutes with your eyes closed to allow the solution to do its job.

4.Before you wash your hair out, wipe the eyebrows first with a paper towel so you can minimize the risk of it dripping into your eyes. Regardless of how careful you have been and the extra measures you have used to protect your eyes and eye area, you may still experience a slight burning sensation around the eye area.

If you use common sense, care, and follow these steps for how to dye your eyebrows with brow tinting products you should be able to complete the job without any hardship. If you are still concerned or would feel more comfortable you can always call up your local beauty salon and book an appointment with a professional. Be sure to ask questions and know what is being used, and how they will do it so you can avoid any un-necessary worry or fear.

Many women who would like to wear false eyelashes will go to a beauty salon to have a professional complete the process. But if you do not have the extra money or are short on time and would like to learn how to apply false eyelashes on yourself, this article will share the steps to take.

There are many reasons women choose to wear false eyelashes. Perhaps their own lashes are too short or thin and you can barely see them. There are many brands of false eyelashes available on the market today and often one can get confused about the best ones to purchase. Going for an expensive set does not always mean that they will be better than a cheaper set. As long as you learn the steps to properly apply them, most people will never know the difference.

1. When you first open your fake eyelash kit, you will want to trim them down so that they fit your exact eyes. They need to fit snuggly over your real lashes leaving no gaps in between for the most natural look you can create.

2. The next step for how to apply false eyelashes on yourself is to prepare the glue. Now, you will not want to just directly apply glue to your eyelid as that can be very dangerous if you were to accidentally glue your eye shut or get it inside your eye. One smart tip you can use is to put a little bit of glue on your hand and run the eyelash through it. Then wait a few minutes for the glue to gel somewhat so it is not so liquidy when you go to apply it to your eyelid.

When accidents do happen though, merely take off your false eyelash, go rinse out your eyes and let the wet lashes dry, you can re-apply them later. Try to use as little glue as possible to avoid mistakes and injuries.

3, Although you can apply your false eyelashes to your lids with your hands, some people find that they get better control and accuracy by using tweezers. once you have applied them as close to your natural lashes as possible, you will need to press on them gently for a few minutes until the glue has dried.

4. Once you have applied your false eyelashes, you need to take out your mascara and put on a coat to both the real and false lashes. This will allow them to blend in and look as if they are all one piece.

5. The final touch for how to apply false eyelashes on yourself is to add some eyeliner to fill in any gaps that may have been missed. Although some people prefer to apply the eyeliner first before gluing on their lashes to avoid any messiness and for ease of application.

The great thing about false eyelashes is that they can be removed easily with makeup remover and a hot compress. If properly looked after by soaking them in eyelash cleaning solution after each use, you can continue using them for many more applications. If you do not disinfect and sanitize your false eyelashes after each use, you could cause eye infections or irritations to your eyes so it is best to protect both your eyes and the length of life for your false lashes so you can enjoy them as long as you can.

There are specific techniques to apply for every type of eye makeup style you are looking to achieve. While some may be more detailed, many start off with the same basics. One of the popular looks today in fashion is the cat eye. In this article we will share some steps for how to apply the cat eye eyeliner and makeup to complete your look.

1. Start with a primer. This can be your choice but it is usually a shade that is close to your own natural skin tone. Many people find that using cream bases allows you to evenly distribute and blend your colors into your skin without flaking or visible blemishes. This can work for both base colors and other shades and hues you apply to your eye lids. Be sure when you apply your base coat that you cover from where your eyelashes connect to your lid and all the way up to your brow line. A sparkle primer works better than a matte for this look.

2.Next you want to grab your eyeliner and shadow colors. Using a brown shade collection will work for most cat eyes to give it the right look. Take a dark rich brown shade and dip the tip of your brush into it, then run it along the upper lid along the lash line bringing it out toward the outer edges of your eye and out. This will give you an almond shaped look to your eyes which is what you are after.

3. Next you want to start the blending process. Taking your brush, start from the outside and work in creating a fuller look which slowly thins out as you reach the inside corner of each eye.

4.The next step is to apply the eye liner to give yourself that cat eye look. Remember when applying eye liner onto your eyes that you need to pay attention to their size. If you have small eyelids, you need to keep the line thin or your eyelids will disappear on you, whereas if you have big eyelids, you can draw in a thick line without worry. It doesn’t matter if you choose to go with a liquid liner or a cream based pencil. It all depends on what you have and feel more comfortable applying with the least amount of errors. This eyeliner can be black or dark brown.

5. When applying your liner, you want to make sure that you start along the upper lash line from the outside working in. Then blend in the line you just drew on your upper lid creating a smoother line with no gaps. When you are done blending and reach the outer edge of your eye blend it up and out for an extended effect. For a more dramatic cat eye, the liquid liner will stand out more and can be applied even over top of the eyeliner cream pencil and then made to extend even further outward.

6. Once you have completed the upper lid, you will then work on the lower lid. Start from the outside and work your way in. You will want it thicker on the outer edges and making a thinner line as you work inwards. If you choose for a more blended and extreme look, you can also apply your liner to the inner rim of your eye. Some people find that doing so just irritates their eyes so it is entirely up to you.

Once your eyes are done, it is time to do up the rest of your face. You can choose your lipstick and blush, and don’t forget to add your mascara for the final touch. This is cat eye look is more for a night on the town or somewhere exotic or out of the ordinary.

If you are into fashion and design, you may want to be keeping up with the latest trends. For every outfit there is a fabulous matching eye makeup style that many people would love to learn and apply. Keeping track of the celebs and fashion experts allows you to try out the styles and check into new ideas for when you too need a change.

In the fall of 2011, many dramatic looks were displayed. There were the extreme kohl-lined or wing-line eyes and the forever popular smoky eye look in black and navy eyeshadows. Other trends that were popular were metallics like the silver and gold jewel toned hues and cobalt blue. If you are worried about this being too dark of a look for you, you merely need to apply a little shimmer to the inner corners of your eyes and along the waterline and brow bone and this will open up your look and add a little brightness to it.

Other top eye makeup styles that were popular this year were eyebrows that were thick and dark and lashes that were bold, long and lush or even spiky like spider-legs and a little bit clumpy.

There are several tips you need to keep in mind when applying bold colors such as metallics or emerald green and shade of blue to your eyes. You should always apply a primer on the lid because this helps the color last longer and prevents any creasing. Creamy eyeliner works the best with this look because you can smudge it to create a softer blend. Apply the lighter base color such as the silver to your eyelid. Then apply the black to just the crease and blend it out with an angled brush until it is a soft smoky look. For the perfect complement to this look, finish it off with a soft pink or nude colored lipstick or gloss.

While many of the dramatic makeup styles and ideas you see on the runways and in the magazines you would not were in an everyday setting, it is fun to try out new techniques and see what works well together so that you can create a nice look for yourself that is very stylish or trendy.

You can spend some time on Youtube or About.com and find makeup application videos if you would rather see the steps people are taking and not just read about how to apply them to your own face or a friends. Finding a style that is well appreciated and sought after may not be something you will ever achieve unless you find yourself working in the fashion world but it can still be fun to play around and practice all of the top makeup styles and ideas that you can find.

For those who have thinning eyelashes or ones that are not very long or visible, they may want to try other alternatives for achieving long lush lashes, like adding eyelash extensions. But if you are thinking about getting these, you need to know a few facts first. The biggest question asked is “Do eyelash extensions ruin your own lashes?” In this article, we will share a few quick facts and tips for you to still work around your problem of sparse lashes.

Don’t pull or rub off

Not everyone is the same. Some people have thicker and healthier hair than others so they will find that their hair follicles are not damaged as often by the pulling or stressing that can occur when one applies and removes eyelash extensions. Try to use the right tools to allow the best job to be completed.

Some eyelash extension brands use harsher glue materials than other ones do. This also plays a big part in how much rubbing or pulling you may find yourself doing. Look for products that have good reviews, and use products with less abrasive ingredients if possible.

Build up Your Own Eyelash strength

If you use products such as Jan Marini Age Intervention Eyelash Conditioner or related products, you can do your part to help your body grow and strengthen its hair follicles so it can withstand more pressure and repeat applications from eyelash extensions. Some people have even reported that products like this work so well to strengthen, lengthen and create thicker lashes naturally after about two months that they could stop applying the harsher eyelash extensions.

Be Mindful of Your Health Issues

If you are suffering from health issues, you may find that applying eyelash extensions is the worst thing you can do. Not only will your natural lashes be at risk for falling out, you can also find under eye skin can be burned or even scar. If you have sensitive skin or use Retin A, it is recommended that you try another method of finding long lashes to enhance your look.

You should also be weary about eyelash extensions because some of the ingredients in the glue could cause severe allergy attacks which could cause your eyes to swell, tear and become itchy. If this happens, you might find yourself rubbing profusely for relief which will also weaken your natural eyelash hair follicles so they fall out.

If you do choose to get eyelash extensions, you may want to consider going to a professional salon. These people have been trained on the proper way to place the extensions and the right amount of glue to use so that when applied they will do minimal damage to the customers natural eyelashes. While it could cost you $300 for a visit and most of the extensions only stay in place for 6 weeks to 3 months, not everyone can afford this method.
